Appreciation Thread

I just wanted to express my appreciation for all the work the dev team has been doing throughout the last year or three (four?!!).

Thank you.

(Obviously also for the ridiculous amount of work going on in "restructure". Heck, it could turn out to be easier to reimplement T2.x on top of restructured-Vanilla than continuing to slog on with the T2.x code base.)

BTW, sorry for the ridiculously corny thread, but I don't think it gets said enough. Especially for such a thankless job.

PS: Don't ruin the game. I'll tell you what "ruin" means after you've released at least two new major versions.

I wonder how many variant owners are considering the same question? V has become more usable/playable with the latest releases, and that is honestly a barrier to me trying other variants. If the variants had that, and then their particular variations, I'd be more likely to play around.

And, of course, thanks to the devs.

I like 3.5.1 very much ... and i have no Problem with saying THANKS to all the People contributing to this cool game.

I'll join in on the thanks to the dev team/maintainers. I switched back to 3.0.9 to finish off a couple of characters who were still alive and that really reinforced all the nice things to like about 3.5 (and presumably 3.5.1, though I've only played a tiny bit on that version so far.)

i picked up angband again a few weeks back after not playing for several years (last version i played was 2.8.x i think). what a joy to see so many improvements. the ui is better, gameplay is more streamlined... it's so much more fun to play.

thank you to all those who put in the effort to maintain and improve the game.

Indeed, many thanks for the countless hours of fun.

Also a big thanks to Pav for maintaining one of the most civil and mature forums on the internet. The Angband community is a cut above.
