'nybody wants to discuss ironman starting gear? So far I've found buying a good armor set at the shop instead of common sense stuff like phase door or CLW makes me stay alive longer.

With a warrior; sell shortsword, sell armour, buy dagger or m'gauche, check if theres a lantern in the bm and buy if you can, otherwise torches. 1 ? phase, 1 ! clw, many food rations.

Haha, finally a character that gets somewhat far!
http://angband.oook.cz/ladder-show.php?id=12239 Although I shouldn't have worn Ulkorog. Now I'm stuck with random teleportation. And it apparently draws monsters towards me, too. Sticking with those rings hoping one may be free action. Haven't seen one single ?ID in the whole game.
