Hengband Trump Magic

Hmn, basically I can't summon anything in hengband with trumps,
it says "Nobody answers your trump call"

The same happened with daemon and death magic but it was because of my align, but now I tried trump with every align and a lot of races and it is always the same

Hengband spoiler page is extensive and detailed but it didn't have my answer.

How come I can't trump monsters?

You need to be at the right dungeon depth, and from what I hear of Hengband maybe even be in the right dungeon.

This also happens in the Hellband code base, if no native monster can fulfill the requirements of the trump, no monster will be trumped. So before dungeon level 8, summon angel will never work for example. I assume Z handles this more elegantly now.
