Frogcomposband : Race change

I got hit by Chaos, and it changed my race.

My max hit points went down by about 200 HP. Is there a way to undo this or is this now what I must remain until I get hit by Chaos again?

I was trying a Munchkin half-titan mage just to learn the game and is now a shadow-fairy who can't pick up the equipment I carried.

There is no easy way to undo a permanent race-polymorph (as opposed to a temporary polymorph indicated in [brackets]). There are a few things that can race-poly you permanently (toxic waste attacks, chaos patrons, Stone of Chaos activation, Polymorph power, running out of life points without dying); but there's no painless or safe way to do it (unless you want to be a vampire and have the Stone Mask).
