Been trying to get a priest started all night, but getting nowhere. Why not try a rogue?

Choose hobbit, cause I never do, but what to name him? Bullroarer is the only hobbit I can think of, so I dub my new son "Bullroarer Jr.". After a trip to the store, I skip down the stairs into the dungeon.

Hey! A scroll! Lets see here...what does it say?

and I love to play wiht those scrolls and staves
and I don't even stand in a hallway when i do play with them

but that might be why lately I can't even get a warrior to stat gain depth, even though what I summon never kills me... just running out of supplies but to stubborn to recall

I don't like to read unidentified scrolls until after I've identified Summon Monster. It starts appearing within the first few dungeon levels, so it doesn't take me long. But that's just how I like to play.

That Bullroarer experience is unlucky, esp. at DL1. I'd normally stash all scrolls/potions until I run of of inv space and then read the scrolls while standing on a staircase - except with a Mage, where wimpy HPs make instadeath a bit too risky...

Oh I more than understand the danger of reading un-id'd scrolls, but I think it makes it more interesting. =)

Hmmm. Maybe I should try making a character named Azriel...

This has to be one of the craziest things I've seen in Angband. The coincodence here is unbelievable. I have been killed many times by the summon monsters scroll as well and don't read un-id' scrolls until after I identify that scroll.
