I was way overpowered by the time I went after Morgoth...but it was worth it after my last disappointing meeting with him.

Arrows....Lots of Arrows!

Basically destructed the area and waited till he showed.
Didn't use melee at all even though I was standing next to him.

TO'd him twice and Mass Banished the riffraff. Had so much healing I probably didn't need to.

It was really no contest at all I had so much in Healing available.

@Grotug-- the character's a ranger with Bard. No need to ask.

Woops, didn't check what class he was playing. He had Bard at home and Belthronding equipped. I imagine with the Ranger's extra shots Bard would have been better?

Didn't seem to matter much and Belthronding gave me rDis so I stuck with it.

Bard does marginally more damage per round, especially with big ammo. More to the point, it does more per shot, so rare ego ammo does more overall damage.

After Morgoth was dead, I still had over 110 fairly high powered arrows in my quiver. Like I said, I was way overpowered by the time I went against him.

Sure, but you generally don't need rDis to kill Morgoth from a distance. It's just not a useful resistance for rangers except versus the occasional breather. Between using a bow and the Rune spell, you are not going to get mauled the way you might with (say) a warrior with a MoD (HA).
