[FA] Crash Bug

I am on dlvl 33 and got a player ghost on the level (not sure if that matters). I am a couple walls away from a mini vault with a few W's in it and some ants. With my telepathy I can see the baddies. If I try to [l]ook at the wights, the game crashes. I can reproduce it every time. First time this has happened.

I have opened the file again and gone all around the level and it's fine, but once I get close to that room, it crashes every time.

Not wanting to sound like I'm palming this off (however I am), but if you send the save file to Nick he may be able to use some clever debugging thing (that's the technical term) to work out what is going wrong.

The answer here was a player ghost with 0 HP and 0 max HP. How that could happen I have, as yet, no idea - I haven't seen it yet in the many unsuccessful games of 0.3.6 I've played, so any reports of this sort of thing would be helpful.

I hate to tell you this but my game just crashed when looking at a Vampire player ghost all of 1 minute ago...

Wasn't the player ghost code ripped out of Vanilla Angband because it was buggy as heck?

OK, I have studied the code in question at length and come up with ... nothing. I have no idea how this can happen; I suspect it must be related to the 'fix' I found for player ghosts, though, as otherwise it would seem like a bit of a coincidence.

A couple of questions: Was this one (as the first one was) with a group of other vampires or undead? And has anyone seen this with any other monsters, particularly uniques?

BTW, current workaround is to save before you 'look at something that may be a player ghost. As a bonus, if you can hit one of these guys with any attack at all, it should die (having 0HP).

I haven't seen this with any other uniques or even other player ghosts, of which I have killed about 4 on my warrior. Only that one was bugged; the others had regular hp.
