screen refresh bug

playing version 3.4.1 in the windows version under linux using vine.
Upon start I first get the opening screen, then I load a file that has currently no character in it, so I get to the character creation screen. Unfortunately only the top quarter of the window gets refreshed to this screen, see screen shot. The game as such works fine, if you remember that the options are Y or N to either keep the last char or make a different one you can play normally and I have not seen this refresh bug in other situation in the game. On my computer this happens every time I am in the described situation.
