any linux packages for 3.4.1 or 3.5?
I'm wondering where to get more recent .deb files for Angband. I just checked the Debian "sid" package list and it still contains 3.3.2. Short of emailing the maintainer (which I think might be rude), is there somewhere I could get either 3.4.1 or 3.5.0 pre-compiled for Linux systems? Including tiles would be an awesome bonus.
(I assume Arch would have it, but I don't use Arch...) I will try to compile it myself also, but the last time I tried it seemed to be more complicated than I expected. I'll re-read the Development threads and maybe I can figure it out this time. EDIT: I did compile it myself (on Linux Mint 16), with the aid of this web page, but it would still be nice to have a graphics option. I need to read the manual and get a better grasp of what's involved... Last edited by Duskfire; January 19, 2014 at 17:39. |

I'm the Debian maintainer and no I didn't package 3.4.x, nor yet get round to 3.5.0 - RL has been somewhat challenging for the past year or two.
Sorry. I hope to package 3.5.0 in a matter of weeks, but it might take longer (I'm rusty, and getting packages accepted into Debian is difficult). I think someone packaged 3.4.x for Arch Linux, if that's any help.

There are also various rpms for 3.4.1 here (look inside the distro directories). I'll get these done for 3.5.0 some time, too.
