Not sure if this is an issue on my machine, but thought I would report it anyway...
Just trying the tutorial for Sil 1.1.1, and the instructions to, for example, hold Control and press a direction to break down a door don't work. I've tried Command instead, and also tried Fn-Command, Fn-Control, Option-Control, Shift-Control, etc, pretty much every one of those types of keys and combinations I could think of, but no success. Pressing / and then the direction does work though. Could this be because I'm on a MacBook Pro, and the modifier keys aren't working correctly in Sil? |

10.8.2
I thought it might be my language settings (Canadian English), but I changed to US English and it's the same thing. |

Thanks. I'm still on 10.6 on my development machine, but I'll look into this when I upgrade. Until then, best to stick to (/).

Tested, and I have the same problem. Control+direction seems to be reserved by the os for switching windows. I don't know if this is a mac book pro issue or just the version of the os.

I'm running 10.6.8 on a mid 2009 Macbook Pro, and it works fine for me.

It may depend on whether you have Spaces (the OSX desktop switcher) activated, and how many spaces you have allocated.

Ah, this is probably right. The default key combination for switching desktops is Control-Arrow Key. So Control-Keypad should work, except you don't have a keypad. In the future I'll consider a work around for this. For now, you could change the key combination for changing desktops in System Preferences (may not be worth it for you...) or use '/'.

Makes sense to me. If I could figure out how to disable Spaces, I'd be able to confirm...

System Preferences -> Exposé & Spaces -> click on Spaces tab -> uncheck the "Enable Spaces" checkbox. Or change the "switch between spaces" keyboard controls.
