Nope. This is written in the inventory screen after the item name. For rangers you rarely get the description, for warriors, always.

One more mystery for you to figure out. (Seriously, probably nothing.)

The colors in the inventory just point out different kinds of stuff - cyan for potions, white for scrolls, pink for rods and so on.

The colors of monsters sometimes are related to certain elements - blue for acid or electricity, green and yellow for poison or acid, red for fire and so on.

That ain't a general tip, its frickin' overkill!

No way is a heavily enchanted bow a necessity for a beginning character - I thought you liked to play "reckless" Al...

"General tips", not "beginner tips". For starting characters, an unenchanted long bow is fine - once you have the gold to upgrade, then it's a good investment.

edit: and I wouldn't say I play 'recklessly', just definitely a lot faster than what you had suggested...

True, general - but general tips for a new player getting to grips with the game. I actually think enchanting a bow like that is wasteful if you dive so - Its not uncommon to find (or buy) an ego bow with bonuses above ten by 1000 ft - 1500ft.

Much more useful for a diver to spread spare enchant money over your armour, although probably less important for mages.
