Melee Effect Handlers
So there are a bunch of melee effect handlers for elemental attacks that are essentially 1 word difference. There's also a bunch of melee effect handlers for timed effects that are 1 word difference. Is there a reason it's setup like this? I mean, I know the obvious reason of "someone would have to change it" but I was curious if there were other reasons. It just seemed to be a lot of steps to add an attack that was the same as something else, just a different timer (e.g. slow vs paralyze).

yes. It allows a form of call-by-name generated via h files (rather than invoking thru the library.)
