question about spell XP

when i cast a new spell for the first time, i get a random(?) amount of XP, that increases with the base level of the spell (?).

Q: is there anything else that affects the amount of XP i gain? like, DL, CL?

No, it's flat. You can find the values in class.txt. At lower levels it can be significant, but at higher levels it's negligible.
