Why did i die?

i died now at level 2 and do not know why ... here are the last messages:

i did not die because of the poison....really strange ^^

Are you sure you didn't die from poisoning, it sure looks like it. Check your tombstone/score, it should say how you died.

It looks like the poison wore off when it states "You feel better", yes?

You died of poison. If you don't set the HP warning, the poison will silently take 1hp/turn. (Cure light wounds does not remove poison.)

The damage per round was reduced. With 9+ touches, that probably wasn't enough to cure the poison.

Doesn't it say in the hall of fame who you were "Killed by..." ? Then it should say poison or whatever.

I'm with Pete on this. If you poison was cured you would have gotten the "you are no longer poisoned" message. CLW may reduce the duration of the poison without fully curing it. Then again, I'm not sure if CLW has any effect on poison. It's a pretty useless potion/spell.

I've seen that before. I don't know if it's beacuse you died that it says you feel better or because the next round you would have survived.

Maybe it was due to natural causes. Sometimes people just die...could have been heart failure, or a stroke, perhaps.

Grief from losing a loved one. Seeing your fellow adventurers dying left and right leaves quite a burden on the heart, I imagine.
