Potion of Contemplation
I decided to Contemplate once I had sustain everything else. When I did it still drained Dex (sustained via =BodyKeeping).
Does the Random drain not pay attention to sustains? Or is this a bug? |

Those potions drain stats regardless of sustain.

Sustain only protects against temporary stat lowering from non-time attacks. Contemplation permanently docks one stat and permanently adds to Wis. Same with the other potions like Contemplation, as well as some nasty ones like Potions of Ruination.
