Since the penalties go away very quickly (with the latest changes), how is this still a problem?

Silent majority coming through in this poll when normally we only hear from the complainers.

IMO this all boils down to people who think they should be able to quaff unlimited potions vs people who don't.

or, to put it another way, the people who think magical items designed to make you better should occasionally snuff you dead against people who think that's kind of daft.

overeating is a Hack thing, and angband has been getting steadily less Hackish over the aeons. unless i can turn Rogrog into a giant meatball there is just no entertainment value in dying of overeating.

Healing potions stuffing you like crazy (5% each) is already removed from nightly, right? That was the problem for me, not slowing penalties getting past 90%.

I didn't know if the poll was about v4.2.1 system or about current dev version. Hence, I did not cast a vote at all.

They sell milk in half gallons too, I think, and a family of 4, or 2 people could easily drink a gallon of milk in about a week

Are you talking about Imperial gallon or US liquid gallon?
I assume the latter, so the answer would be: US denizens.

Cure potions affect you 1% for all types, including CLW. So you can no longer buy CLW 40 at a time and guzzle u
it in long running fights against orc and troll mobs. I do not consider this a bad thing...

Growing teenage boys. They don't even have the decency to use a glass.

I wish you could rest to auto-wait it out if you get to high.
Usually it's only an issue in the early game when I accidentally eat something that sends me over 90.

I also don't like that there's no easy remediation for early-game characters and that's the only time it gets me.
