With such a crappy main weapon, that Ring of Damage (+7) would really help. And your ring of rFire/rCold is doing you no good at all. Ring of Acid isn't much use. Ring of Lightning would help.

Nice armor. Resist poison potions is not something I would carry (not even if I didnt have the resistance).
Your main problem is the low amount of ?phase.

Ring of fire/cold still covers rCold at the moment, so my general plan is to use the ROD as a swap between obvious fights. As for the Ring of acid, it's the first of its kind I have found. Agree with the fact Lightning would help. As for the rapier, it's still the best damage-per-round weapon presented as options so far. (!)

Valid. I can dump those and keep the neutralize, save up a slot. Just got the new armour, and needed all the poison help I could get before that, given the number of times buddy stumbled into poison traps, or dark elves.

As for the phases, yeah, the fight two levels back chewed through a bunch of them. And just ran into three critters that required me to use a few more (won't spill the deets just yet.)

@ is a 13-year-old, Int 7 half-orc.

Were I writing from the point of view of a reflective priest, there would likely be descriptions using a far greater range of adjectives.

Or, if creative writing ain't your bag, stop reading.

Level 22 (3-2): Nothing memorable killed, except for some lion-goat-dragon thing. Dozen orcs. No trezzur. Got bord. Found stairs.

Level 23 (6-5): Gorbag and his buddies, dead. Ring make rapyer pokey-pokey, leaky-blood. Still want better weppun. Quarterstaff of flame not it, which is all Gorbag left the world. Wandur around, find ring of make burnjuice. Maybe my turn to give, not take, burnjuice. I put it on, take off ring of hurt’em, drop ring of findytrappy.
My first test of burnjuice ring on dwarf name Nar. It makehurt, then he makebetter magic. That waste of time. Think it take many whacks to kill this one, but wrong. He go down quick, after use getaway paper not to get away, but to give space to use crossbow. Huh. Must remember that.
Kill more things, then find big trezzur. Find staff, turn it on, and then a bit dizzy, but somewhere else I already been. That might save life, bigly, so go back, find staff. Now must figure out what drop. Well, that easy; drop paper of gofaraway, for staff of gofaraway, which can make gofaraway five times.
But not all good. See in head, using rod of map-in-head and rod of find trezzur, rooms that got trezzur, but they behind granite walls, and i gots nothing that will tunnel through granite. Even weapons of things I killed won’t touch. Will never know what i left behind. Now levul 26, with 283 smakme points.

Level 24 (4-4 ):Find two scrolls of make weppun better. Try make wimpy poke-sword better, but they both fail. Gods hate my wimpy rapyer. Make neat find. After room of lice, troll come after. Can’t see down hall, so use rod of make light. Troll react like it hurt. So then try phial of Auglion, which also make bright, and troll more hurt. Easy pokey-kill after.
Run into two furriners, two dudes from Angbar or some such. Never heard of the place. They tuff. Burned through a gonearby paper to gain a breather for the first one, same with the second. Armur heal helped not use poshuns, cuz poshuns, less of them than i want. Also killed Ulfast. Ulfast had some nice armur, with makestrong runes, but think current armur more better. Must soon start planning for next drive. Rumers say tuff next, and already thinking this part plenty tuff, how much worse it get?
Scared to find out. But must. Buncha black fleas make me run for stairs. Still levul 26, only second time not bump during floor.

Level 25 (3-7): Small place, with little cat comb caves. Find dagger that better than rapyer. Still wimpy weppun. Then I get mad at short guy who throw bolt of fire that blow up staff of take faraway. I slice him with new dagger, which works gud. He drop mace of smak orc, so I take, drop hammer of smak undead, since dagger of boring smak undead better than hammer of smak undead smak undead. Place cluttered with armur i coulda used long ago, but don’t need. Found boots that have stealth rune, seem a bit better than my sanduls, so swap out. Find ring of runawayfast, which might come in handy. Find a poshun not seen before, and drink. I think it make me stronger. Want more of those. Find gluvs with a no-statue rune, but alredy got gluvs and magic light have no-statue rune. Got bord, found trolls, beat them up. Then found stairs.

Level 26 (4-3): New horrurs. Some spooky undead thing, which eats two iron balls, followed by a big cube of wobbly goop. I learn wobbly things bad, usually burnjuice, so I hit it with staff of goslow. It not work, so now up creek. Try again, it work, then run, right into hoofs of horse with wings. Kill it, but not before cube of goop does what i feared, and drools burnjuice on new boots. I make fiting retreat, it eat iron balls and die. This floor offer up all new stuff. Huge ball of sparks just about kill me – twice. Bat that bite and make weak. Hate froot flies, not new, but pain in butt. Then find couple big gold dragons, who make big noise. End up samwiched between those and a black dragon. Goldie makes big noise that hurts baby black more than me. Use armur to make healthy cuz getting low on gonearby papers. That work, so carve new holes in dragons. Goldie croaks, drops white poshun. It fix everything. Superheal, that. Will remember. Now levul 27, with 290 smakme points. Bit wooozy, tho, from that bat. I get bord, find stairs.

Level 27 (4-3): Not much amazing here. No big battuls. Couple things killed. Found a rod that spits out balls of cold. Keeping. I got bord, found stairs.

Level 28 (4-2): Again with the boring level. Found rod that stops traps from working. Might keep.

Level 29: (5-2): Maybe not smart to dump poshuns that prevent makesick. Ran into peeple with wonky swords that makeweak. Low on rocks and balls for sling, switch to crossbow. Ran into my first vampire. Fought him off, but not until he do same kind of makeweak as bat couple levels back. Found a few poshuns of makebatter, but mad at little Ibun guy who beat me up and made dagger magic weak. I kill him, but now dagger useless (+2,+1). I drop it, use mace of smak orc, since it now better.
Sometimes, monsters not smart. Big trolls in hall, start fite. I zap with wand of lightning bolts. They got friend, bat that breathes fire. But fire bat at end of line, so he beathe all over them to get at me. I zap wand back. Then blue dragon get into mix, and she breathe over all of us. Not much left of trolls after that. Thought dragons had big trezzur, but all it had was scroll of goaway, which might safe life. This place make you work for everything. Heal magic in armur handy, cut back on use of poshuns. I got bord, found stairs.

Level 30 (6- 4):
I am sitting in a corner, feeling most strange, and I am moved to write. Some creature, a hound, breathed on me and then I landed elsewhere in the dungeon, feeling most different, of a fashion that moves me to enscribe the moment, lest I forget, lest the words now coming to grasp vanish like snow against the spring rains. I am weak of body, yet strong of mind. Thoughts, memories, flood my mind. I have been rash, foolish. I see, so clearly now, the lessons I ought to have learned from the errors I have made. It is altogether too much, the scents, even in this oppressive prison of granite, stale urine and rotting corpses, there is grand ...
