i've been playing angand for a while and wanted to try something new, so based on things I read on this forum I decided to try Sil.
I have only finished the full tutorial and set up skills/abilities for my new char but I am already blown away by the ingenuity of this game. Like sprinting which observes the number of moves made in a particular direction before adding speed, or the ability which adds attack based on each sucessful hit on a monster. EDIT: Half and Scatha: I think you are the ones who made Sil, so hats off to you sirs/ Last edited by longjohnconno; November 15, 2014 at 05:24. |

Sil definitely deserves full scale roguelike build upon that engine. By full scale I mean wilderness, towns, multiple dungeons, quests, etc.
It's a great dungeon crawler as it is, but I'd love to see some grander scale. |

Yeah, for me, I think Sil's mechanics combined with Un's dungeons and FA's overworld would be a kick-ass marriage.

However it would be cool to see what a variant maintainer could do with implementing Sil's mechanics into a larger and longer roguelike. |
