a mage just teleported me INTO a vault

i mean, im not complaining, as i was headed there anyway. but the mage (who was outside the vault) called me to him and i wound up inside the vault, which i believe was not meant to happen.

The teleport to spell does permit teleporting into vaults.

I have definitely have this happened to me. I remember it because I was instakilled. Unfortunately I have no chardump made but it was played on angband.live.

It was that little 'infinity'-shaped greater vault that is jam packed with OoD monsters and good loot. I was well outside those permawalls luring something out when I was suddenly "commanded to return" by something that could not have possibly been inside the vault. But I ended right inside the vault, into the sights of an eye druj who conveniently nether balled me to death.

There wasn't any destruction areas made outside the vault. This because you can phase into destructed area of the vault.
It was just a weird death that left my jaw hanging for a moment.

But I think the real weirdness in both cases is that the PC wasn't teleported to near the teleport-to-caster.

Yeah, some of these monsters are just really bad shots

Today I learnt that old man willow can't teleport you next to him when surrounded by throwing pebbles. Any actual reason squares with items are forbidden?

Old man willow really needs to be scarier. Summoning, and a short range distance attack, whipping with branches. Maybe an aura of fear or sleep.
