That's the only feature listed on the web page; unfortunately the game and patch binaries are missing. I found a single other reference to it, on this page of theirs http://sikabane-works.net/monzetsu_diary/?date=20130630 that Google translates to

For the time being, I was able to implement it by replacing it with the Vault option at all times.
Including that generation does not apply in Eak Cave
It's always the same specification as Vault, so please do it at your own risk.

Since it was developed in a Windows environment, the patch has a character code and
I can't put it out right away due to warning measures, so please wait for a while.

More clarification on those two, from what I can tell:

GeorgePits changes behaviour of "always generate unusual rooms" option. Instead of generating vaults, it will generate pits/nets.

D'angband changes goal to Nethack-ish "recover Amulet of Yendor from level 50 and sacrifice it". It also attempts to unify player/monster mechanics; monsters have levels and experience like the player, can have race/class/personality, can equip items. However, it's in alpha version and hasn't been updated since 2013.

Sorry for doubleposting, but I've seen that you've added this variant to your repository. Some corrections:

-It's not related to the "Touhou Angband" (which is a Western variant based on Vanilla); in English, it'd be "Hengband Touhou Katteban"; from what I've read, "Katteban" (勝手版) in Japanese roguelike community refers to Hengband modifications that aren't explicitly described to be a 'variant'.
-The last update isn't in 2017; the latest version was released on 29 Dec 2021, it's being actively developed with characters from newest Touhou games getting added.

Looked it up; looks like it's more of a broad "add various content I want to see" version. The description says originally it was planned to be that Touhou Katteban except with corpses and bounty hunt still in place. Looks like there's only one Touhou character for now, though.

Also, it's based on the Hengband 3 alpha version.

Japanese *band community seems to be mainly focused around Hengband. Also, there are Touhou fangames with Hengband references in them; one of them has Serpent of Chaos, Unicorn of Order, Plain Gold Ring and ***WINNER*** as bosses, and several pieces of equipment are from Hengband as well.
