FAAngband and macros
Hello there! I'm using a necro. I thought that the macro to instantly fire a nether bolt at the closest monster is m1a'[Enter]. But when I press it still wants me to know what I want to target so I still have to manually press ' and enter. What should I do to have my necro blasting the closest critter in the face in a single button? Also, how do I use the 1,2,3,4,5 numbers for macros? Since it is used for movement.

It's entirely possible that there isn't a good way to do that - and I'm unlikely to be looking at it any time soon (I'm kind of neck deep in Vanilla). Long term, the plan is that all the V improvements will come to FA as well, but that's probably not much help to you now...

Thanks, Nick. If that's the case, I'll skip FAAngband for now. I have lots of roguelikes to try out anyway.

I think the problem is trying to select the spellbook by number.
I had eg a *tmaa5 macro that worked fine as a mage on my last playthrough. |
