Diggr, and, soon, InCavAd, are good, no-nonsense roguelikes. They take after Nethack, really, but the strict inventory limitations keep you from hoarding. Also, the dev really takes pride in the fact that the game is completely free from AD&D influences, in combat and otherwise.

Shinobi class? But, I like to stack the crit chance and crit damage! I really suck with the shinobi.
However, the spelunker head-lamp is aces. I'll check out your recommendations soon t-mick, as I've never heard of them before. I bought the recent humble weekly spiderararium? bundle, the avernum and geneforce thing. So far... meh? I played the gold-box ad&d adventures and loved them... but, I was like, 12 or something. It's hard getting back to that magical place, I suppose. Now I'm all jaded and like, pushaw, I can't be bothered. Yet, it seems cool. |
