Well that's a big step up for a ring of free action for a DL33/CL27 mage:
h) a cloak of the Magi [1,+14] <+1>

It provides free action

While ESP or pConf would be better, of course, it is just what the doctor ordered for the moment. Combined with a ring +3 from the previous room, my mana increased by over 50% and my fail rate dropped by the 33%.
Now if I could only replace my ring of fire and cold with
a ring of the Mouse (0,-7)<+4>

I found a Robe of ekvenkind <+1> {rDark}
And later, Mithril chain mail with identical bonuses.

-3d5 to damage, 1d4 DEX and stealth, so yes
