[FA] turning off the DING

i just noticed that almost every action in FA 0.3.3 has a *DING* to it.

thats ok if you're the person to not listen to music while playing .... but seriously, is there a way to disable this ?

i tried unchecking the "SOUND" menu item.

probably there's a
option under '=' for this ?

Look for an option mentioning a bell. (In V, this option is "Ring bell ...")

Yep - press "=" then 2) "Disturbance Options" and toggle q) "Audible bell (on errors, etc)" to "no". That should leave you in peace...

(Speaking on FAA, I've finally got to Gondolin with Primula - now to try and get to the dizzy heights of CL20. I'd have given up on Hobbits long ago if it wasn't for the competition...)

Yes, although the real answer is for the maintainer to do something about all these bells. It shouldn't be happening nearly that much.

That could be a winner. I've abandoned Primula for development work lately, but am about to have another go (or 20).

First up, SORRY for being in the wrong forum section!
thats another for the bad -advice thread - asking questions on forum at 3 am !

Nick, dont be dissing the maintainer!

Argh. i should have gone into DISTURBANCE options.... thats the only = section i DIDNT go into , thinking "disturbance" meant "wake up @ on...."
