Just wanted to say huge thanks to both Wildkhaine and HallucinationMushroom for their immense generosity to the new Angband PoE guild - I'm making full use of the twinking gear but very happy to share it with anyone else who joins up!

With thanks to Wildkhaine and HM for the first, and fph and me for the second, the Angband guild is now the proud owner of two guild stash tabs. (If WK and HM want to name one each, that's fine by me - I haven't found anything worth contributing yet!)

I've really enjoyed the new content (Imperial Gardens et al.). My main is now right at the end of Act 2 Merciless, a mere act from mapping (cl61).

I'm finding quite a lot of 4L hats/gloves/boots - according to http://poespreadsheet.blogspot.co.uk/ these are worth 1-3 alts each - can this be true? I guess I need to lose my trade virginity and find out.

Really enjoying this game - it keeps getting better. I'm really glad the balancing has improved since the beta - armour actually makes a difference now. I'm still getting quite bad lag though.

Trading is frustrating with POE. If you want to get an idea on values, just leave trade chat open while you play and do this: Assume all sellers are adding a 20-25% greed markup, while buyers are offering 20-25% less than normal value. If no buyout is announced, try to find a similar item with a buyout (or buyer) and apply my greed formula.

I only bother trade chat or trade forum if I have something to sell that rates at least a gcp or higher, and I tend to overpay for expedience. I can't recall anybody hocking 4L items for alts. That might be their fair value, but I doubt anybody would bother. By the time you negotiate and navigate the deal, you probably could have just made 3 alt by killing monsters and converting shards. If you get a really big ticket item, the trade forum is probably the way to go. I use poe explorer to shop or to get an idea on value also.
