It's been argued that if you don't happen to kill the low-level uniques when you're in their power range, you should deliberately avoid killing them until the very end so that when Morgoth hits "summon uniques" he has a chance of pulling in the wimpy stuff rather than anything dangerous.

I follow that but i still kill uniques with DROP_GREAT.

Me too. Also, in some variant Smegaol has a 1 in 666 chance to drop the one ring
