Crazy big vault

Never seen one of these before... (see attached image)

Here's my current char below

Any advice for taking on this vault? My current plan is to just blow open one side of it with ?Destruct and see what happens...

Those vaults are very tough without ample amounts of TO because monsters just spill out when you open it. As with any lower level vault, you should avoid it if you aren't sure you can escape easily. At your level, you probably won't be able to go toe to toe with whatever is in there and as a warrior you don't have the tricks of caster classes to avoid the fights.

I have a bad feeling about this one, but give it a shot if you can't resist.

That vault is "The reward is worth it," and it usually is. You will certainly find artifacts--though without TO, *Destruction* might be called for. OTOH, I can't tell from the picture what the worst monsters are, but none of the visible ones are particularly dangerous. So you might be able to pick them off as they come out.

Thanks for the advice - I did end up cracking the vault, using one *destruct* to clear out a nasty high-level lich and two AMHD's, and then I cleared out most of the baddies, including Smaug. I did end up using one more *destruct* at the very end because there was a druj in one the last rooms that I didn't want to deal with.

All I got was Mundwine and Totila for my trouble, though one monster dropped an elvenkind shield with RPoison, which freed a ring slot for me. Also, right before finding this vault, I picked up Sandals of Speed (+10) from the armor shop for 50,000gp (!) - that's a nice price adjustment in 3.1.1b.

I didn't rely on TO at all, since my warrior has a pretty miserable success rate with devices at the moment.
