I know that speed has diminishing returns above +30, but what is the math? I've searched the forum but haven't found specifics for the calculation. I'm interested because I want to be able to compare Cubragol to other launchers. The damage output per round shown on the information screen for missiles when Cubragol is wielded is lower, but I don't think it takes into account the speed differential. I think for determining which launcher to use, I need to know the speed differential between @ and monster. E.g., against a Normal speed monster, wouldn't Cubragol be giving @ two "rounds", so the damage indicated in the info screen would actually double. What would it be if @ is at +20, +30 or even +40 speed differential from the monster?

See this post for the table, and the one above it for a bit of background on speed, energy, and how the relation affects turn order: http://angband.oook.cz/forum/showthr...8967#post78967 __________________ Glaurung, Father of the Dragons says, 'You cannot avoid the ballyhack.'
