DAR-During adventure report

I recall into the dungeon and realize that I don't have identify. I read an un-id'd scroll. Curse armour. I have Hithlomir and think: Not too bad, I won't find anything much better soon. It was only drained 1 AC. I kill some young dragon, and he drops an un-id'd scroll. I read it. *Remove Curse*. Yay! Now i found Arvedui and wore it. This happened around dlevel 40.

Hee hee. Same char, at level 40, a novice ranger drops a Leather Shield {special}. Then, a novice rogue drops a Leather Shield {special}. Which do i use?

Eh? Two artifact leather shields means you're playing with randarts ... yet your last post referred to Arvedui. What gives?

Celegorm and Haradrim are both leather shields.

Yes, I'm wondering what is better agro+rpoison +2 to str,con or -3 con or -9 dam and rdark and rpoison from a ring.

Aggravation is deadly in the middle game. If you are powerful enough to survive at DL 50 while aggravating, you would be better off not aggravating and going immediately to DL70 with better survival chances and much better loot.

If you find ego bolts, you might want to carry it as a swap to get the most out of them, but it would be a mistake to depend on wearing it for poison resistance. I cannot parse your question, but I think the answer is to find a way to cover rPoison some other way.

I have a ring of rpois i'm using now. As for bolts, i took Akhorahil the Blind down with: Heavy crossbow of power x4(+12,+15), 9 bolts of flame, one round of attacks with Sting and a bolt of slay evil.

For some reason, I was confusing Haradrim shield with xbow of Umbar. However, if you are using the most recent version with changed artifacts, what I said [swap for shooting] is still true since newly changed Haradrim now gives an extra shot.

Otherwise leave it at home.

Wear the ring of rPoison for now.
