Feature request: Detect Invisible > Reveal Monsters
I would like it if the mage's "Detect Invisible" in book 2 was changed to "Reveal Monsters" and displayed all monsters (visible & invisible). They already have the capacity to detect any monster at level 15, but they have to cast two spells separately: Detect Monsters and Detect Invisible. Due to the one-turn window of detection magic, this is inconvenient not only because of the extra keystrokes, but because you have to remember where some monsters are while you look at the other set.
I'd be okay if the cost was increased from the current 6 mana. Detect Monsters is only 1 mana, so 7 or 8 would seem reasonable. The priest's Detection spell (available in a dungeon book at level 10) is only 10 mana, and detects all monsters as well as traps, doors, stairs and items. |

Five consecutive posts of nothing but consent? I'm a little weirded out, but this change is live in the development version, and Takkaria can just revert r1849 if he for some reason decides that he hates us.
I just added the cost of Detect Monsters into the old Detect Invisible for all arcane casters. |

Started playing 3.5 and noticed Reveal Monsters?
I thought, what spell is that, some change... I suppose it replaced the Detect Invisible spell? Seems like a good change. |

It has been there a while. It's combined detect monsters and detect invisible so that you don't need to cast two spells to detect all monsters.
