Competition 85
Competition 85 is now available from the competition page; it is an NPPAngband 0.5.0 Human Mage.
Note that comp 84 still has a day or two to run.

NPP quests
Does anyone know which quests are the best to choose, monster, pit, or level (when available)?

If you are trying to win a comp, it is probably a mistake to take any quests after the first few. When trying for fastest NPP wins, I used to take the very first quest only. I haven't played much 0.5 so my advice may be irrelevant. |

Eddies advice is sound still for fast wins.
For easy wins, you take pit quests as soon as you can until dlvl 20 something and then go back to (a) quests. |

You'll need an updated pref file. I have one that mostly works but I don't remember where I got it, I grabbed it several months ago for NPP. There may be a more updated one out there or you could update this one yourself, it wouldn't be too hard to fill in the missing pieces but it's already very playable. I'm just not sure what you'd fill in for some of the different floor spaces. I sent you an email, respond and I'll get it to you.

I have a quick question. I've never posted to the ladder until now, how do I update a character? Do I just submit a dump with the same name and it will overwrite the old one? Thanks in advance!
