CTRL + S is not overriden (affects r2041)
Playing with the latest release, I no longer have normal access to CTRL-S to save the game. The terminal takes over and it halts output instead. I need to CTRL-Q to restore output.
This behavior is not present in the 3.1.2v2 publicly distributed beta version. However, looking at main-gcu.c diff between both versions doesn't really seem to reveal where or what may have caused this. It must be somewhere else. |

I had no problem with ctrl+s save. I usually play on a laptop without a battery so if I accidentally yank something I lose progress, so I save obscenely often.

Hmm... that's strange. Because I definitely can confirm CTRL+S is being handled by the terminal instead.
Are you using r2041, fizzix? |

The behavior seems to be in effect under several terminals (urxvt, lxterminal, xterm) and even when playing the game on a virtual console (pts).
Build options : --disable-x11 --disable-gtk --disable-sdl --disable-sdl-mixer |

I've experienced similar under ncurses as well. What I've ended up doing is just learning to do ^s (shift-6, s) as control s freezes the output of my term until I press ctrl-q
