Advice needed

I'm a bit stuck as to what artifacts to wield, keep and throw away. I seem to have a lot of similar randart cloaks which is confusing things somewhat.

Fast glance suggest Dirindo, Oimlatand, Mithri (Silth aggravates) = 6 blows with weapon keeping ESP.

I don't have time to make better analysis.

Heh. Funnily enough I've not used it that much. I could have used it if rChaos stops hallucinations, but I guessed that it didn't.

Good idea I'll give it a go. Although it does mean my minimum failure rate is 1% rather than 0% and my SP goes down to 222.

As it happens, immunity to hallucinations is the only special side-benefit that resistance to chaos provides.

If I'm reading that activation correctly it is same as one of the mushrooms (emergency?) and those go thru resistances.

I won! My first ever winner. I thought I'd play an elf mage for a bit of a change and I ended up winning.

The randart gloves with +2 blows and the randart Palantir with *slay* dragon made killing dragons far too easy with melee (especially for a mage). I didn't use archery at all really.

I was surprised at how much harder Morgoth is than Sauron. I used melee against Sauron in about 10 rounds, but Morgoth required a lot of !*healing* and !rMana as well as a lot of casting mass banishment. His ability to go through walls makes him a lot harder. Wouldn't like to fight him as a warrior.

Strangely after I won my character forgot the spell of cure light wounds and the spell is now illegible. Is this supposed to happen?

Access to this spell was removed for mages in the nightlies 4 or 5 days ago. If you upgraded to the latest nightly that would have cause the change.
