Son of a aaarggh
Ironman Warrior number 4 finally gets excellent feeling level 8 takes 2 steps falls through trapdoor, level 15 suberb goes to pick up rapier.. trapdoor, very good on 18 sees phial yep another... trapdoor. Sigh
ends rant.

Sorry but that made me laugh out loud. I've had a few trapdoor miseries (most notably right after an awesome battle with a player ghost in NPP, which dropped a 4d5 longsword but had created a trapdoor in front of it) - but to get three in one game is jaw-dropping.

Reminds me of an incident in Moria some years ago: ambitious young priest encounters a Fire Giant, and has the cunning plan of dropping his scroll of Recall, so it doesn't get burnt up in the fight. Giant is successfully despatched, but on his way back to retrieve it... trapdoor!, eventually he runs out of food trying to get out.
