Well, the possibility of insta-kill was with me all the way down from 2500'. "Dracolich breathes nether, you die" and so on. I also used to have at least 700 HP when hanging out at dlvl 90 and deeper, but CON boosters were rare in this game. This was my fastest going character. I think it's better to die and start a new character afresh than stay at the "safe" depths indefinitely.
