At 450' a novice priest dropped sandals of +3 speed, and while that remains my only source of permament speed at this point really helped bypass my low hp issue. An early lightning beam rod helped too. Things got pretty scary starting around 1500' though. I've extensively had to immediately escape dungeons, and when I don't, am on the run from atleast something. I just got 3 dungeon spell books pretty much one after another, so that should help a little bit. I'd really like some hp, have to play this character like a mage without attack spells basically. My best weapon aggravates, which is annoying, but it's just SO much better than my other. I actually decreased my offensive capability early on when I found the cutlas, threw away a dagger of acid for it and opted to try to be sneakier: weakening my ability to kill things prevents me from deciding my weakling rogue is Rambo.

I picked an elf for sust_dex and res_light, but he sure is fragile.

Mostly I'm proud of myself for really working on minimizing the risks I impulsively take. Time hounds? Exit level instantly. Two ring wraiths? Bye bye! That being said, I very nearly killed myself about three times (chaos vortex I kept TOing would not leave me alone) to grab MB5.

Biggest unique I killed was Scatha. He seemed a lot less scary than normal ancient dragons, which I haven't touched yet. I think wormtongue is still floating around waiting to drop an end-game artifact for me, or something like that...
