First try with a deathmold possessor. Seems pretty good. I am enjoying the novice mage body.
plan on pumping skillpoints into
possession
corpse-preservation
weaponmastery
in that order, for now. I am hoping for a fumblefingers to get mindcraftry as a splash as well.

Picked up a master yeek body. It is pretty cool. I am using the slow effect against saber tooth tigers now. It keeps me alive. Fun.

Just finished farmer maggot quest. Considering my options. I do like the juck art I found. The Balrog wings are a lucky result from a unknown potion.

Just got a fumblefingers with no good options. Choose Spirituality for the save bonus. I should be happy since my first fumblefingers netted me mindcraftry.

Crel is doing well as it is at the bottom of the barrow-downs. The plan is to go to the orc-cave and get a good orc unique body. Maybe then the Troll quest.

Just got the shield of thorin!! from a measily hill orc, ha. I love stealth, I just walk up and wake up the beasts with a little love tap (of death).

I plan on finishing up the orc cave then killing the trolls.

Still didn't go to deathwatch yet. I have on the other hand completed my first god quest, rescued merton and completed the troll quest, and spider quest. Deathwatch is next, I am trying to decide on what body I want. Tom is a good HP body but I did enjoy the yeek body. I experimented with a dark elf priest as well but the master yeek was still the most fun. Need more mana.
Well more experimenting to come.

I lied, I haven't completed the spider quest yet. I switched to the body of "Sangahyando of Umbar". More mana, less speed, better AC. Different resists but all covered anyway. Working on Orc Caves

On 16.3.2003 01:14 djwid@yahoo.com wrote:
Just finished the spider quest. See the movie. It was easy due to high stealth and flight. Tulkas helping me was cool too. After that I checked my quest screen and noticed that the god quest wasn't marked as done. I did get my 5 prayer points but I will go to the temple and check it out.

On 16.3.2003 09:25 djwid@yahoo.com wrote:
After the second god quest, crel has been cleaning up mirkwood. The princess has been saved numerous times, and crel has found a number of lost swords. Still not strong enough to clean up the water supply, the jelly pit is bad. Maybe with invisibility and high stealth crel could clean it up. Just going to wander around for a bit until 'it' feels strong enough.

On 16.3.2003 20:09 garyuu_tenshi@hotmail.com wrote:

for the water quest, high stealth won't help as everything seems to be awake already, so get your hands on a good long bow or cross bow, with extra might if possible, as well as a good number of arrows/bolts... of wounding if you can get them, as well as resist blindness - just pick off things as they come into range and you'll do well, but, you may also want a good supply of healing items - aim for magic mushrooms and mimics when you can, because i find them to be the hardest ones to deal with

i know you didn't ask for help, but, i hope that does help you with the quest

Crel just killed mim, betrayer of turin. After discarding Sangahyando's used form, it incarnated in Mim's broken body. As his wings spread over Mim's now healed body, Crel relished the ease of movement he now has. He wanted to clear out the jellies west of lothlorien but garyuu_tenshi@hotmail.com's warning was accurate. The jellies were awake. Crel left in search of more weapons and ammo.

On 17.3.2003 08:14 djwid@yahoo.com wrote:
Crel just found Gondolin and completed the Eol quest. He took eol's body for his own. This is a great body, extra speed, more hp and inate reflection. I need to move equipment around but this is great. This is my first char in TOME to make it this far.

On 17.3.2003 08:21 djwid@yahoo.com wrote:
Crel took garyuu_tenshi@hotmail.com's advice and finished the mallorn quest just as suggested. Minor changes were more use of wands but given the difference between goat and crel it is obvious.

Crel likes to have tough fights in the middle of noxious fumes or other lasting affects. This helped with the jellies and helped with Eol. Eol was tough. Crel kept hammering him with shots of force and kept a haze of fumes up at all times. Crel killed off any demons that were summoned quickly since a monster fest would be bad. Prayer to tulkas was constant.

On 18.3.2003 09:12 djwid@yahoo.com wrote:
Crel just found the orc town in Moria. Very cool. Got some good gear including a artifact sword of sharpness and extra attacks. That will be excellent when crel has a body with more arms. This is good. I have to remember to be careful with crel now, in eol's body he can take on too much. Carelessness is the killer at levels above 30...

On 19.3.2003 08:34 djwid@yahoo.com wrote:
Crel did it. He managed to find and take out the watcher in the water. He carried the body back to town and voila, he abandoned the eol body and took hold of the watcher's body. Now it is very happy. After a certain amount of rearranging equipment Crel took on the Goldonin troll quest. This produced a lot of great equipment and treasure. Crel killed everything in the room. 95% of the room didn't wake up until it was dead. The other 5% took a couple more rounds to kill. Awesome. Must be careful now, as carelessness kills most of my high level char. Boredom kills the rest as they sit waiting for me to complete their quests. Crel will finish or die.

Did the voidgate quest w/gondolin. Very cool. Having flight and flying behind the trees made the quest easy. I agree with a post someone else made that thunderlords should fly over those trees, esp in that quest battle. If you saw my cmovie of crel vs the spiders then you get the idea. But that quest is level 60.

I then continued going down mordor. Very nice. I don't have fire immunity so the lava was bothering crel. He then discovered that the water balls will cool the lava leaving cooled rock and pools of water with enough repeats. Pretty cool.

On 22.3.2003 09:00 djwid@yahoo.com wrote:
Now at lvl 65 in mordor. Found ringil and Curagol. Very nice. Also managed to save Goldolin. I didn't clear the quest 100% though. I saw the entrance to mt doom but didn't want to go. I suspect that I will want immunity to fire before going in. I need to clean up artifacts and to figure out the next step. Tomorrow.

On 22.3.2003 21:39 djwid@yahoo.com wrote:
Managed the prisoner of Dol Guldur. Took out two more Nazgul. That brings the total to 5. I keep all the rings in Bree. I need more ranged weapon potential. I had to hammer these Nazgul with water balls. Luckily the water became deep enough that Hoarmurath didn't want to cross it. This kept the battle more contained.

Those Nazguls are a pain in the rear end indeed, my possessor accidentally meleed one when I was somewhat careless. Result: ringil disenchanted and 2 (non artifact) weapons shattered >:(.

I found that 1 or 2 wands of tidal wave are *very* useful, they keep getting knocked back and should they summon monsters they're crushed by the waves too.

Very nice randart ring by the way (giliondol)!

On 24.3.2003 17:35 djwid@yahoo.com wrote:
With Nazgul, I now very carefully inspect 'W' for possible nazgul influence. My plan is to try out some of the westernese weapons on them. Maybe it will work. I will check out the tidal wave wand thing. Sounds good.

I too love my ring. It also covered my weakness for blindness. I had a ring of lordly prot there. Then I discovered 'Feiglian' and in the same pile giliondol. Both covered rblind and both gave +8 speed. I put both in and swapped out a ring of speed as well. Very nice.

Ring of power Narya or ring of flare, tough choice. Maybe I will swap out another ring. But such a hard decision.

Took out the Witch-King. Still looking for Sauron. I am now only looking for very specific items to use. Everything else I drop on the floor. I am still collecting westernesse weapons though. I have a full kit that I swap in to take out Nazgul. It works well, the battles are faster and more contained. I don't want to wake the whole dungeon with a roving battle. A annoying demon zoo kept following me around in the last trip down. Some of them kept eating walls making it hard not to get hurt with mass group attacks on myself. I still love the 'teleport to' power of the watcher. I use it constantly.

Yes it did take a long time. I just kept going lower and lower in Angband. I killed Sauron the first time and got the ring. I was looking for it for what seemed like days.
