One of my best recent stealth-stabber characters comes to ridiculous end. False-floored down into a pack of nasties, fought an EPIC battle, killed lots of stuff, then stumbled into another pack, which drove me to that forge... and led me to be surrounded by almost a dozen trolls, wargs, and orcs.

Wargs are the first enemy in Sil that I truly feel need to be nerfed, even just to remain true to the source material... it's kind of silly that I can OHKO a mountain troll and I can slay a giant, but I can't get a solid hit on a mutant wolf.

I remember Wargs even being difficult as a heavy-weapons character, but that might just be my recent annoyance with them skewing my memory :)

One of my favorite runs so far, even if it was cut short!

FYI my main kit was the 1.0lb shortsword used with subtlety + cruel blow + assassination (when applicable). Once I started getting 5+ '!'s when hitting Easterling warriors in battle, I knew I was doing something right :)

Final comment -- what you can't see is that there are 4 more wargs, 4 trolls, 3 orc champions, and 6 easterling warriors + archers packed up on either side of those Wargs :)

Ouch! Unfortunately, Wargs start showing at 350ft. What you could do next time is get Vanish before 400ft. When you 'Vanish', the monsters become unwary after you move away at a certain distance. This works on Wargs too! So, Vanish can save you *a lot* of trouble. I see that you have Sprinting, which is great. Sprinting + Vanish = works wonders, and can help a lot against the Wargs!

Another thing is to not fight multiple Wargs at once. They are intelligent, open doors, go up/down stairs, and bite *hard,* making them tough at 400ft. Melee 15 and Evasion 13 is sufficient to take on Wargs, but one-at-a-time! You could pick up Charge, which works on Wargs too. (I hear that Charge does not work well with Assassination. So, you might have to have to turn off Assassination, in this case, I think.)

My two cents,
