90% of attempts die at level 1-4 (Stopped counting these), and the very promising guys (i.e. found a wand of wonder of MM) usually die an unavoidable death before level 10. This is a VERY frustrating character to start with.

It got a little easier once I got the detect monsters spell since that helped me avoid running into paralizing creatures - something I'm very prone to do. I guess the turn count doesn't work because DAJ works with Days instead?
