You got Vanish already, which is really good, IMO. If you're unable to fight off tough monsters, start fleeing away and closing doors, so that you're out of sight. That's when Vanish works.

Take off that Set of Gauntlets. It is penalizing your Melee and Evasion.

Eat the UnIDed Herb, and find out what it is. You can use the Piece of Dark Bread right away when you're hungry.

I'd throw away the Staff of Imprisonment, the Ring of Perception <+1>, the 99 Arrows, and the unIDed Golden Amulet.
