He's moving along quite easily now despite lack of FA and SI. The recently found trident of wrath gave the extra melee boost he was looking for.

There are different types of illusion monsters. Rchaos helps against hallucenatory monsters, but summoned not illusions. The best thing to help recognise other illusions is very high alertness. (1st sight and second thoughts helps)
