Gil-Galad was an Elven King his mighty spear did gleam.....does anybody know the rest of this song?

Of him the harpers sadly sing:
The last whose realm was fair and free
Between the mountains and the sea...."

For some reason, all Elven songs have the same melody as "Reptile" in my head. :P

Cool man thanks! I new there was a song about Gil-Galad, thanks for looking that up. One thing I miss about old Angband is the lack of interesting character backgrounds, in modern Angband. I enjoyed rolling up Dwarven King's, High elven princes, that used to be generated, roll playing used to be more interesting. I remember one I loved from Moria, was rolling up a dwarf with glowing red eyes, pretty cool that.

This has actually been very fun, I compare it to V 3.2.0 in terms of item generation, it has so far been very generous with stat gain potions and ego items.

at 1650 feet or about level 33 already found chaos dragon scale mail and a few artifacts, some very good ego items, It seems like better items are generated at earlier levels than modern V. monsters aren't as intelligent or aggressive, So far this has been pretty easy, but then again I have a very powerful character already. i see myself playing this more and experimenting, it is vastly different than modern V. It might please many to know that i think V 3.4 is harder than Frog-Knows. The Ui and targtting and interface is ancient, and you have to look up what the items actualy do, but still a very fun game.
