Yay for winning all the races. For some reason I found dwarves the hardest... well, at least I killed the most highlevel ones anyway. I decided to go without smithing this time, because I was getting a little tired of it. I was also thinking to myself before this game "Naugrim are unplayable without smithing" due to trying to play this way with some low dex ones, so this time I tried to get dex as high as reasonable without gimping my other stats (hence not being Belegost) and it worked out nicely.

For a long time I was melee/evasion/will only, but I was concerned about not being able to cut a sil, so I went for the obligatory 10 song, and then the obligatory exchange places for the silrun. 50ft was sort of agonising since I ran out of revelations and the stairs hid in a little corner room I somehow missed as I uncovered the level... unluckily, in a dead end Morgoth came up behind me, but very fortunately after switching around and running away he blocked the corridor and trapped himself.

For a few moments the throne room looked like it might go the same way as with my last Naugrim as I was in spot with a lot of guys and Morgoth but somehow I managed to do things right, I'm really, really bad at the throne room with these chars.

Congratulations on the win. I'm a bit surprised by how few artefacts you found. Were you leaving things which might have been artefacts lying on the floor because you didn't want to use anything of that type?

And the only artefact he found had to be convinced into being made an artefact :)

Scatha: Thanks. I didn't consciously not pick up anything I thought was an artefact apart from the items dropped by uniques. I suppose later on I wasn't really testing random weapons/armour because I had nice things, so perhaps I missed some of the more inconspicious ones of lighter basetypes. I actually didn't notice that I found very few artefacts until you mentioned it, I was enjoying some quite high quality mundane items throughout the game.
