11% fail on Breathe Shards is sort of disappointing, so I may try to work in an Easyspell item somehow when I'm totally kitted out. Breathe Mana is working fine for now, and it's really not that much less damage. (Breathe Sound is mostly what I use anyways, for the stunlock. Breathe inertia unfortunately doesn't work nearly as often as I would like.)

I actually could have used an antimagic shell if devices are permitted while wearing those.

I was at full health, and the only buff I didn't have applied was invuln. I guess my mistake was killing him in a big room.

Yeah, so that could be part of the strategy then. When they hit one star, turn on invuln, put on antimagic shell, spam your stronger devices until they die, and hope to god you don't need any of your other spells :)
