"Arda's Habitats" is mostly full of nativity spells, but it does have a powerful lightning bolt spell.

"Nature's Fury" probably has the next level of offensive capabilities.

As far as !RestoreMana go, I did notice that they seemed to get noticeably rarer the further I went down; I think that they were most common between 1500' and 2500', but it almost certainly isn't worth it to backtrack for them.

Fake edit: Checking the edit file, !RestoreMana start natively appearing at 1250', while _Magi at 3500'--so you should be finding some any day now.

On your complaints about the druid: I don't think that every class that is magically focused needs to have the exact same things covered in their spellbooks--otherwise, there wouldn't really be a reason for having multiple spellcasting classes.

Teleportation the druid does sort of have--I think the spell was called 'Natural Escape'--but your character needs to be standing on native terrain AND there needs to be native terrain elsewhere on the level for it to work.

An innate means of teleport other, recharging, and detection was missing but again, is it really necessary for those to be part of the druid's spell set?

Lastly, what spells were you using for damage throughout the game? I can't really recall a time where what I had was insufficient to deal with in-depth enemies.

I don't know if you didn't notice, or if you just didn't have the au for it, but the bookstore has a service that can fireproof your books; they can still be destroyed by acid, but it's still an improvement.

And as for the whole spellbook thing: I tend toward the spellbook-using classes because they tend to be more inventory efficient; one spellbook can usually provide four or five different useful effects.

I don't remember him being that bad on my warrior a few comps back, but I had more HP and damage then. At this point scumming for consumables went quickly enough that I will probably have time to try to win sometime tomorrow though.
