Strategies that I did to accomplish this:
1. Stair scummed in the Void. Since I possessed Watcher, with no Light *and* no cloak slot, it was impossible for me to get Breathe without Air. So what I did was I kept going up and down stairs, until there was a set of stairs further down that popped really close. Repeat 22 times for Void and 30 times for Nether Realms.

2. Watcher in the Water body gives targetted teleportation (large range!) ability for 2 Mana, and because my Possession skill was maxxed out, it would often be free. Add to that the Gaunts of Eol for more mana (adding magic skill doesn't help, but apparently +mana items do) and I could *always* teleport out of a bad situation to safe area (i.e. clear one corner of the level first, as emergency backup retreat position).

3. Tikki was really easy because I could just teleport right up and melee her to death with my 100 attacks averaging 10K damage per round and +60 speed. Also the two genocide junkarts helped when she summoned.

4. Melkor: This guy was a pain in the *ss. Way too many hitpoints, combined with hard hits and large sanity drains. My main strategy was to teleport out as soon as I got drained more than 200 sanity (out of my 800), because he has a tendency to cause Abomination as well, and that cuts my max sanity by 400. And then wait long periods of time for my cure insanity junkarts to recharge...

Eventually, patience won out, and Melkor failed to do sanity damage to me for about six turns in a row, by which time he was down to 4 stars (one flurry of blows from Chamou does about 10% damage). I figured I'd take a risk and go for it, since all I needed was for him to lower sanity no more than 3 times out of the remaining 4 rounds I'd need. That panned out, and now he's quite dead. He didn't drop anything good either! Gr...

It seems to me that all of my attacks' to-hit rate depends only on the primary weapons (i.e. the tohit displayed in the character screen). So that's why I could get away with having Dethanc and two very low enchantment weapons (though they used to be ~25/25 enchanted... gr... stupid Nazgul. Good thing I remembered to save Dethanc for Melkor and Melkor only.
