Eeep! My previous character died on lvl 28 and that one was a lot better equipped than poor little Kaardoctred. The only thing keeping me together is my robe of permenance.

Still alive! Found a couple of dungeon towns which have allowed me to fill out my equipment slots a little better. My new mage staff is a great timesaver too!

Going pretty quietly. This is the highest Level I've been in tome though I've had a 50 lvler and a couple of high 40's in Zang.

Skipped an ethereal dragon FF quest on lvl 42. Must find some way to get them one at a time if I want to finish it any time in the near future.

I've been very unlucky with random quests recently. The last 3 FF's have given me conveyance when I'd much prefer magic device or just plain magic. Spell power would be good but I've never seen it offered. Anyway...

My character is more robust than I expected! I thought I was in trouble when I took on the gondolin troll quest and found a stack of Hrus, but they seemed unable to resist my teleport away. Eventually the map was so full of lava they didn't even want to move, which I found a little cheesey; but it kind of compensated for my phase door repeatedly failing because it was trying to send me into a wall.

Anyway, I'm searching for meriton at the moment, and also trying to find some of the extra dungeons (I've no idea where half of them are located).

Going slowly, taking it easy...

Richardc,

You can't get spell power from FF.

Nice little hobbit. I 've been thinking of running a warper - are they any fun to play?

Finally got all my resistances covered. This came at the expense of lite radius, which was having a pretty minor effect anyway considering my divination skill. I've also got my attributes as high as they can go, though it looks like I'll have to hunt for some wisdom boosting items.

It has been fun playing a warper. Being able to seeing everthing and everyone on a level via vision and sense* is great. Makes dungeon crawling a lot faster and safer. Coupled with the mobility offered by probability travel it's a really good combo.

The biggest draw back is that warper spells don't get that much better after level 35 or so, it seems a waste of that lovely skill progression that warpers get. This goes double for Kaardoctred who has been raising spell power as well.

The one exception to this that I can see is essence of speed, which I expect to play a big part of my late-game strategy. I haven't used it that much yet because I only just got my tome of time and haven't got round to hotkeying it all in.

Haven't really come close to dying since that thing with the hru's, and that was more due to my low mana supplies than a direct threat to hitpoints. Hopefully, Kaardoctred has what it takes to go all the way.

Another exciting day in the life of Kaardoctred! He had eliminated 15 of the 17 dracolisks that had taken a poor adventurer's sword when he was approached be a dishevelled thunderlord.
"Gondolin is under attack, we require your assistance urgently" implored the thunderlord.
"Well Gondolin will just have to wait until I get the last two dracolisks, because I'm not going through all this again" snapped back an iritable Kaardoctred. Unfortunately, Gondolin could not wait and was a smoking hole in the ground when Kaardoctred swaggered into town with a backpack full of loot.
Angered that he did not get a chance to torch Gondolin himself, Kaardoctred decides to check out what this death fate is all about, an teleports himself to the dreaded level 32. He emerges with berely a scratch, whistling merrily and once again ready to do Melchoir's bidding.

Stats wise Kaardoctred is doing really well. Haven't picked up anything fantastic recently but his offense is so good that he's never really needed all those resists. I love essence of speed! Its like all the enemies are stuck in one place, they just don't get a chance to move before there're turned to ash. The thunderlord ambush was over before it began, though I had to teleport a couple of times to recharge mana. Once I get a couple of big adamantine rods I won't even need to do that!

I've reached level 50 now and still going strong. Still haven't decided what path I'm going to take finishing the game.

Been looking for the prisoner of Dol Guldur for ages. Oh well, I've given up and just about to dive into angband. Hopefully, I'll pick up cold, acid & electrical immunities somewhere along the way.

Haven't done to much with Kaardoctred recently. Diving into angband is proving to be a pain more than anything else. Levelled monsters are annoying because they're not a big threat yet they drain the heck out of your mana reserves. I'm going to take a little break with an experimental possessor and come back to Kaardoctred in a little while...
