Check out the home in Bree. Just in case something happens to one Player body, he's got a spare!

I highly recommend thunderlord bodies.

Slowly plugging away. Just got to the Crypt. She's found a pair of cloaks of air, so I guess I'll take a shot at the Void if I can get past Morgoth.

I'd love to upgrade to one of the unique Thunderlords, but Trone didn't drop his body and this Gold body has really been superb. It would be hard to overstate how happy to the directed teleport and teleport away inherent powers make me.

Oh, this character was started on a whim to be a possessor/trapper, as I was inspired by a pair of threads on www.t-o-m-e.net (one on a character who managed to kill Morgoth using nothing but traps and another on the best bodies for possessors to use).

She actually uses traps quite a bit and the one she's currently carrying along with those 4 randart seeker arrows were brought along for consecutive quests for Bile Demons. Made 'em much easier. It knocked 2-4 stars off each one before it got to me. Very handy and the points spend on trapping were definitely worthwhile.

The points spent on archery were pretty questionable though, and Ammo Creation was a total waste. Putting those points into, say, Magic Device or Combat would have gotten either up to 40. Either would have been much more helpful.

Oh well. If I had thought for a second she was going to live this long I would have taken skill allocation more seriously. Plus, I had no idea how easy it was to find small bunches of excellent and randart ammo by scumming traps.

Slowly creeping down through Angband. Its really taking forever and levels like the Princess quest for 12 Star Spawn don't help. Got Plasma hounds after that, so the RNG has shown a little mercy.

The real problem is all the extra uniques from having C, Z, and Joke monsters on. I feel like I should bump off every unique I spot, and there seem to be 2 or 3 on every single level.

Just saw my first GWoP, but it didn't drop a corpse. I kinda decided early to try to avoid dragon corpses and find a green then gold thunderlord bodies relatively early it was an easy decision to stick with. The GWoP would have made it tough.

The other reason for killing all the uniques is corpse hunting. I finally went through the list of which uniques drop corpses, and it looks like only 7 or 8 are better than a gold thunderlord body. I've run into half of them so far, but I've had bad luck with them dropping corpses. Maeglin, the Necromancer, Ymir, plus a couple others just weren't generous enough to help out. Hopefully Marylene will help me.

Well, that's both of my Ent Possesor/Loremasters killed to stupidity. This guy was cheerfully blasting eye druj with his time breath and I just wasn't paying attention. Suddenly, *Poof* no more body because I overspent his mana. While cursing loudly, I had him take a step back to make sure his extremely vulnerable 'soul' form wasn't accidentally in LOS of a druj... moving him right next to a colossus that had apparently been sneaking up behind him. *Wham* no more soul.
