... yeah. He didn't get very far, even though I gave him a chance to run. :P The RNG had the last laugh, though. His randart was +0, and the only decent things on it were rlight and free action. It does have rnether, but I have that intrinsicly.
Guess that's the end of this character's lucky start. Well, this is turning out to be a surprisingly powerful character, holding his own in melee, owning in ranged, able to take hits easily, and even has anti-mass/breeder with the Rohan Knight's Flash Aura, so I say to the RNG (quite idiotically, I know), "Bring it on!"

Anyways, some levels and cleaning up later yielded a phial {special}. And my char *can* wield it, thanks to rlight. :D There was also a randart armour with 3 immunes and 40% hp (search for Feante to find it), but it ruined my accuracy, so I decided to skip on that for now, but it may be used at a later time. Dunno.
A quick glance in the jewelry shop showed a ring of dex +4. Bought that, loaded up on dex equipment, then looted a few nice items I saw - most useful being the amulet of Trickery (+3). Cleaned up Gondolin house, upgraded some stuff.


The Maze went next, quite quickly thanks to Maedhros's Main Gauche and its telepathy. I want a better rod for the recall, though. My character is also now permaberserked. Hmm, if you're berserk, are you immune to fear? That'd be handy, seeing as my char does quite well with melee, and I don't like relying too heavily on my randart arrows (running out of arrows has been a constant fear of my archers)


One last kill in the maze netted another randart armor with 2 immunities, but I have one covered already. Hmm. This calls for some equipment shuffling.


One last look through Minas Anor showed a !oStrength and a ?o*Aquirement*. Bought the potion(dex equipment not handy), stole the scroll, to my pleasure. I decide to cash it in real fast for some hopefully good items,, so I go to Angband, scum for a safe level (thank you Telepathy), then read the scroll. Bolts of Lightning and a Blessed Sabre.... bleh. Quite frustratingly, all the weapon shops are capped at 10k or lower, so this char has been pinched for money, but the bolts manage to net nearly 15k.


I still want a decent bow, though. :(

I went around, cleared out some more areas - this character is seriously owning; I haven't used any !oCCW, very few ?oTele, and only twice had to swtich to seeker arrows after running out of my randart set. Mirkwood, HotE with an annoyingly stubborn bottom floor, and the sandworm lair, all yielded nothign of interest. I'm working on Mordor now, where I'm beginning to get artifacts by the truckload, trueart, randart, junkart.


I finally got a decent(read, *decent*) bow! I also found a fairly good artifact sling, and a really nice ego crossbow. The bow is real recent though, and the sling was found before Mordor, and the crossbow early in. Grr to the RNG.


Reflection has proven itself much more useful than I expected, now I don't want to part with it. :/ However, I recently found a nice double immunity randart armor. I can get fire with my old shield now, for 3 immunities and no penalty, like the other randart armor I'm storing. However, I have to either give up my reflection or my amulet of doom [+6](+6) (heh). The added stats are pretty substantial, with a bonus of 200 hp and around 50 sp. On the other hand, reflection has blocked a *lot* of mana bolts that I previously hated and have lost characters with. So now I'm stuck with a dilemma... do I drop Immunity, Reflection, or Stats? Hrm. Chances are, it'll be the immunity, since it's just electric - fire and cold are the main two I want.


Some interesting randarts in the mathom house and Gondolin house, if you want to take a look. This character is also getting quite lucky with junkarts, I could almost fill a whole house with the good ones I've found. Many have been dumped due to redundancy / impracticality (I found 4 of cure confusion. Stupid catch-22)
And on a side note, I haven't gotten *any* fates in a long time... odd...

Man, my character has turned into a kleptothief... I accidently sold my dagger (now mathomed) then decided to steal it back instead of honestly buying it. Although I don't need the money anymore.
