First time that I won with a non-Alchemist character. I was scumming level 127 of Angband for good stuff, avoiding Sauron whenever I saw him, then found the One Ring lying around in a medium-sized vault. Decided to stop scumming and go for it, got rid of the ring easily by using Recall to swap positions wiht monsters, then noticed that Sauron was with me on the top of Mt. Doom; convenient. Sauron was easy. Found Morgoth in a greater vault with a narrow corridor made from permanent walls. Just stood in front of him, hitting him with Mana thrusts, quaffing a Potion of *Healing* or Potion of Restore Mana every once and a while. Now I'm gonna try for the Void.
